Rental Bikes and Scooters are the best way to explore the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Apart from the beauty of major tourist attractions in the islands, the journey to them is quite mesmerizing in itself. With roads surrounded by dense forests on all sides to open, less popular shorelines, you can easily make pit stops and explore all of them.
Most of the roads here are reconstructed and in good condition, so all you need is a bike that you are well versed with.
Eternal Andamans provides rental bikes for hire on all major islands in Andaman, including Havelock Island (Swaraj Dweep), Neil Island (Shaheed Dweep), and Port Blair.
Get your Rented Bike easily in 4 Steps:
Since each island is separated by sea, you will have to book your bike in different islands separately to make sure everything goes as smoothly as you have planned. There are only 3 major islands where people prefer a bike for sightseeing including Port Blair, Havelock Island, and Neil Island.
You can easily rent out bikes and scooters to explore Port Blair, from our chauffered service, that delivers them right to your hotel. The most famous destinations that people prefer to visit on a bike are Chidiyatapu, Wandoor, and Mount Harriet among others.
Petrol pumps are abundant in Port Blair, with major pumps near the Airport, Junglighat, Bathubasti, and Aberdeen Bazaar. The only pumps that remain open 24/7 are at Junglighat and Aberdeen Bazaar. There are no pumps near offbeat destinations here, so make sure to keep some petrol in reserve before leaving.
Havelock is yet another place, perfect to explore on a bike. Major attractions like Radhanagar Beach, Elephant Beach, Kalapathar Beach, and VIjaynagar Beach are connected and easily accessible via road. The roads are perfect in summer, although, it can get muddy and slippery in winter.
Unlike Port Blair, there is only one Petrol Pump at Havelock, so make sure to fill up the tank and keep some fuel in reserve before going on a long ride. An offline map of the island is highly recommended in this case, as the internet is a bit slow.
The whole Neil Island and its major attractions like Bharatpur, Laxmanpur and Sitapur Beach can be explored in 1 day, making it a great place to explore on a bike or scooter. The island is small are the roads are surrounded by greenery making the bike ride even more fun. The roads are fine in the summer but can get a bit slippery in monsoon, so it's advised to be extra cautious. The traffic here is less and the roads are also pretty open.
One thing to note is that there are no Petrol Pumps here. Govt. authorized shops sell petrol, so make sure to get the location and fill up the tank before you leave. These shops close as early as 5 PM. An offline map of the island is highly recommended for navigation, as the internet is patchy here.
